Another wonderful Sunday, maybe the Europeans are actually on to something with all the stores being closed on Sunday! We always seem to have great family days on Sunday, I guess that is the point! We took the kids to their skating/hockey this morning, and Maya let go and was "walking" on the ice without any help! Progress every time! Then we came home afterwards and had lunch with Sean, he has a home game tonight. I baked 100 oatmeal chocolate chunk cookies, an apple crisp and a banana bread. Oh yeah, and also I made a huge pot of coconut lentil soup! After all the baking I took the kids up to the mountains again behind our house. We met some of our Austrian friends up there and took part in an Austrian tradition, roasting chesnuts and drinking Sturm, it is a type of drink that is formed before wine. "a young wine". It was great and we ended up playing hide and go seek with the kids for a few hours in the trees! Sean is at the game against Graz, and so far it is tied 2-2, half way into the third period! Here are some pics from the afternoon,
On the way up the mountain,
This way...
Chestnuts we found in the trees, and roasting on the fire!
And the young wine!
Good night!
